File 5 Recap
Episode 5 begins with Yukiko and Kimura crossing paths at work and they make small talk. They talk about what they were doing and other work related stuff. Yukiko confesses to him that she wishes the guys of 2nd Unit would quit teasing her but eh, Kimura doesn't because he thinks it's funny .
They talk a little bit more on the subject of the 2nd Unit guys until Eiki shows up to tell them that they got a homicide case. The victim was an actor working at Blast Promotions in Shibuya. For some reason Kimura starts tensing up. However, after hearing that the name of the victim, Yukiko notices that he almost looks relieved.
So yeah, they split up to go to the crime scene. From the crime scene they deduced that the killer at Blast Promotion may possibly be the same killer from the Asahina Publishing murder because of placement of the victims' stab wounds resembled one another. Since 1st Unit is in charge of the crime scene and talking to the person that found the body, Yukiko heads off to the Blast Promotions agency in order to try and find an eye witness. But with no luck. It's weird because the body was found next to a light post and that light post should have been visible from all the windows in the agency. Hmmm. Anywho, Sonoda from 1st Unit appears behind them to order the two to go and find Kimura because he found possible evidence. But Tennoji doesn't like that they're being treated like 1st Unit's dog.
In the end Yukiko and Tennoji listen. Tennoji gets to stay as Yukiko goes out to look for Kimura. She finds him quickly and starts to call him when Mr. Box Office, Yuichi Kuromine grabs him.
She watches as Kimura stays silent to Kuromine's insults. Kuromine makes fun of Kimura's glasses, his profession, and then starts mentioning a scandal. Oh, and he calls Kimura by his real full name, Ryohei Nikaido. Remember that name? It's the name of the child actor Eiki was talking about in Episode 2. Kuromine continues on. Did Kimura try to reset his life with thick glasses, a boring job, and a new name after the scandal? According to him, it's Kimura's fault Fuka died.
Uh oh. Yukiko starts feeling bad for sticking her nose in Kimura's past so walks up to them, revealing herself and interrupting their conversation. After apologizing for interrupting and eavesdropping, she successfully gets Kimura away to check the new evidence.
The scene then changes to Yukiko stopping by the crime scene on her way home. When she arrives she starts examining the area. She finds blood stains, a hedge, and Kimura!
They're surprised by each other's presence. Kimura came because he wanted to check footprints. To him, it looked like the footprints were made after the victim died. Meaning, that it's possible that the killer try to move the corpse back to it's original location.
The next scene change is of Yukiko and Kimura in a car. Yukiko steals glances at Kimura, remembering Kimura's past as an actor.
When Kimura addresses her she quickly apologizes for eavesdropping on his conversation with Kuromine. She wants to ask him questions but that would be insensitive of her. Kimura can tell she's curious and asks her why she appeared when she did if she wanted to her more. She explains that she did because she didn't want to find out things about him if he didn't want her too. She then goes on to basically say that he could talk to her if he's troubled because she won't expose his secrets. After she's done he thanks her from understanding.
And with those few lines, Yukiko's heart starts thumping.
End of Episode 5
***Comments***
This episode was long.
The CG looked kinda lame but oh well, I'll take it.
Kuromine's a dick.
