Instead of saying MC all the time, I'll be referring to her as my in game name, "Ayaka Nishimura." |
Episode 2 begins with Satoko (Kenshi's mom) introducing Ayaka to the other waitresses. She specifically tells another waitress, Wakana, to take care of Ayaka since they're similar in age. Wakana puts on a nice face saying that she will but once Satoko leaves she's snippy with Ayaka.
Wakana instructs Ayaka to hurry and change into a kimono. But before Ayaka can change Wakana asks her if she's an acquaintance of Kenshi. When Ayaka confirms that it's true Wakana and the waitresses conclude that Ayaka was the girl Kenshi brought home the night before. They all sigh in relief noticing that Ayaka is just a plain looking girl. Ayaka takes note of the unwelcoming atmosphere and changes the subject to ask Wakana where she should change and how to change into a kimono. This prompts more snippy remarks from Wakana and the other waitresses that can't believe Ayaka got hired at the restaurant when she can't even put on a kimono.
Scene change!
With no one offering to help her she goes into a room to look up how to put on a kimono on the internet. While she is looking it up Kenshi walks into the room. He's surprised that she isn't working at the moment so she explains her kimono problem to him. Unlike the other waitresses, Kenshi understands that it's normal for her to not know how to put a kimono on since she doesn't usually wear one. So, Kenshi offers to help her put it on. It takes him awhile to realize how weird it would be for a guy to help her change so he apologizes to her.
But she does need the help so Kenshi turns the other way as he instructs her on how to put on the kimono. She successfully puts it on and Kenshi rubs her hair to congratulate her. She knows he means nothing by it, he's just a really friendly guy. However, she is curious about what he said earlier to his mom, how he isn't interested in love or dating. She asks him straight out if he really doesn't have a girlfriend (he doesn't) and tells him since he's so nice and polite he must be popular with girls (she thinks about Wakana). But Kenshi just laughs it off. He doesn't believe he's popular at all. And he can't/won't date anyway. How can he tell his girlfriend he's a thief? When Ayaka suggests the he just quit being a thief, since it's a crime anyway, he calls her words harsh and asks her to drop the subject.
Scene change!
Ayaka is in the kitchen, wondering why someone like Kenshi would be a thief when she meets the Chef, Genzo Gondawara.
She introduces her self to him and he tells her to do her best.
Scene change!
Ayaka goes back to work. She enters a room and apologizes for the wait when she realizes that the guys from Black Foxes there. They're having a meeting for their next mission. She leaves for a bit to grab Kenshi a beer and when she makes it back she notices Riki staring at her.
Riki wants to use her for their next mission. They plan to lure a rich man to the restaurant, get him drunk, and steal from him. Since she works at the restaurant they could easily have her get the man drunk. But Ayaka protests to the idea of helping them commit a crime. Riki tells her that she doesn't have a choice but Kenshi butts in. He suggests that they rethink the plan and only use her when necessary. Hiro calls him a nice guy and he rustles Hiro's hair in a return.
Kenshi is able to convince Riki so he tells Ayaka that she can go back to the kitchen.
Scene change!
Ayaka is in her room, unable to sleep. She wonders how the meeting went and then wonders if Kenshi is still awake.
Scene change!
She walks down the hallways into his room. She finds him slumped over his desk, sleeping. When she tries to put a blanket over him he grabs her and starts talking in his sleep how he can't drink anymore. Anywho, once he lets go she finds deposit slips from a foreign bank on the floor. She wonders if Kenshi knows someone overseas.
Scene change!
It's the next morning. She heads out to eat but bumps into Gen. She's surprised to see him. "Doesn't breakfast start at 9?" But Gen informs her that today the breakfast was from 7-8 because they had a business meeting. She's all, "What?!"
Scene change!
When Ayaka arrives to the room she finds that everyone has already finished eating.
No one had told her about the changed breakfast time because they all assumed that Kenshi would have told her. She can what's going on. They're all jealous. Ayaka tells them all that she isn't close to Kenshi at all. And that next time they need to inform her of any changes. The waitresses won't comply so Ayaka just snaps. She yells at them to stop bullying her like they're all in grade school.
While she's yelling Kenshi walks in wondering what's the fuss is all about. But Ayaka isn't going to tattle. It's stuff between her and the rest of the girls anyways so she just tells him to not worry, they're just talking about girl stuff. Kenshi is all, oh okay, but tells them to keep it down. When he leaves the waitresses tell Ayaka to stop acting all high and mighty and leave the room. Ayaka just sighs, wondering how much longer can she continue working with them. She's still hungry.
End of Episode 2
[I didn't get a message]
***Comments***
I like Ayaka. I like her a lot. I like how straightforward she was when she confronted the other waitresses. She can see their dumb jealousy and she's having none of it. She didn't actually call them out for being jealous or liking Kenshi. She just wants to be to nice enough to let eat. Like, who cares about Kenshi, give me food! I also like how her heart isn't pounding around Kenshi yet. In a lot of games whenever a good looking or nice guy is around the MC, she just has to almost always has to have her heart pounding. I'm just like, "What the hell did he do?!" I guess I could say more but I'm hungry too so I'm gonna eat xD.
