File 9 Recap
Episode 9 picks up from the last episode with Yukiko waiting for Kimura to return to the hotel room. She's regretting meddling into his private life. She tells herself that she won't pry anymore and to just act normal around him. Determined to act normal, she downs a whole can of beer and squeezes her cheeks as she continues to wait for Kimura by the window. However she falls asleep waiting for him.
So, I guess she's half asleep now but she keeps her eyes closed. While she has her eyes closed she feels the presence of someone standing next to her. That presence wraps something around her shoulders and tucks loose hair behind her ear. The presence continues to stroke her hair again and again. It feels so nice that, with her eyes still closed, she grabs his fingers and presses it to her cheek and falls back to sleep.
She finally wakes up for real this time and finds Kimura asleep on a chair in the corner. She admires his handsomeness and gets up to put the blanket on him but when she does he wakes up.
They exchange some morning pleasantries and the tension from the night before is gone.
Scene change!
Yukiko wakes up in her own room this time. She's in a rush to get to work.
Scene change!
Now she's sprinting through the park to get to work. As she runs she tells herself that she has nothing to worry about since she has deodorant and as long as her makeup doesn't come off lol. Anywho, she stops in her tracks when she hears a woman scream. Out of reflex she starts running towards the scream. When she arrives at her destination she finds a shaking woman and a unconscious man bleeding on the floor.
Scene change!
Yukiko finally makes it to work. She was able to call an ambulance and a squad car to care for the unconscious man at the park and left. Upon entering Kirisawa praises her. Her actions were able to save that man's life.
Tennoji changes the conversation to ask Yukiko about the souvenirs she bought them all from Kasuga Island. She got them all keychains. Tennoji got an abalone, Eiki Yachigusa got a salmon roe sushi, Hanai got an urchin sushi, Kirisawa got a tuna belly sushi, Asano got scallop sushi, and Kyobashi is the only one that gets an initial key chain. "S" for sadist!
She hears the sound of someone laughing behind her and when she turns around it's Kimura! He calls her indomitable (incapable of being defeated). But she has to be since she's teased by the guys of second unit so much. Before 2nd Unit, she was a delicate flower. Kimura isn't buying it and he can't contain his laughter.
Cue teasing from the 2nd Unit guys!
Despite her anger, Yukiko manages to calmly ask the guys what they think they're doing. Kyobashi and Eiki Yachigusa agree that Yukiko and Kimura have gotten very friendly with one another. Kimura doesn't disagree but instead tells them that it's because she's easy to talk to. She looks up at him and asks him the reason for his visit. He's come to inform them all about the attempted murder at the park Yukiko was at. It's highly likely that the knife used in the park is the same one used for the two previous murders. And, he hands Yukiko back one of her business cards found at the park. The 2nd Unit guys comment on how clumsy she is but she's like, "No...". She's surprised about the whole 'dropping her card' thing because she only carries her cards around at work or in her desk. The only card she carries out with her is the one currently in her wallet. They all ponder about it.
Tokuda from 1st Unit joins in the conversation. He overheard the talk about Yukiko's business card being found on the crime scene and starts accusing her of being the murderer. The rest of the idiot trio steps into the 2nd Unit office to agree.
The idiot trio are there to inform 2nd Unit that they've been put in charge for the attempted murder in the park. blahblahblahblahblah Eiki Yachigusa tricks the three to leave by saying one of their superiors are looking for them. 2nd Unit has to get back to work too.
Kimura informs Yukiko that the pin and rope they found on the island were sent to NPA lab. He also asks her if she's okay. He knits his brow, sad and worried about her. She tries to laugh it off and leaves Kimura to go back to work with Hanai.

So this episode pretty much sets up a new conflict.
I would comment more but I have to get ready to head out somewhere. Also, writing recaps tire me out so by the time I make it to the comments section of my uh, recap, I don't have any energy left to do...anything.
