Shall we Date? Destiny Ninja ~ Hyuga Chapter 3 Main Story Recap

Biwa Attacks:

We ended Chapter Two with Hyosuke comforting our heroine after Hyuga wouldn't stop being such a jerk to her when he found the two talking about his past. It's night and Chapter Three begins with our heroine in her bedroom  recalling Hyuga's words about her being a nuisance. She goes into bed believing his words and wanting to retrieve her memory as soon as possible so she could go back to where she belongs. Feeling uncertain that she ever will, her loneliness brings out her tears which she tries to stifle by burying herself deeper into her bedspread so that Hyuga wouldn't be able to hear. But of course he does hear her with his ultra ninja hearing ability and surprisingly apologizes to our heroine.

I forgive youuuu.

She's so surprised she can't give a proper response in return to his apology. He calls her out on it, asking her if it's so strange of him to do so, which she replies with a, "Yes. Uh, no. Well..." He laughs out loud at her honesty, suggesting that she nor Hyosuke lie. But the laughter is short-lived as Hyuga gets astride her and covers her mouth, sensing something fishy. His ninja senses are right as Enya calls out from the garden that they're under attack! Oh no. Hyuga orders the heroine to stay put as he jumps down into the garden with the rest of the ninja aides to protect Yoshitsune. A biwa minstrel appears from the darkness. Hyuga correctly deducts that he's the sorcerer that put the soldiers to sleep with his biwa and the fight begins.

No.

The biwa minstrel/sorcerer is named Biwa Rengoku. He spits out fire, catching the pillars of the residence on fire. Yoshitsune orders Kazemasa and Hyosuke to fight the fire in order to protect the servants in the residence. But Rengoku apparently knows the shadow clone jutsu and has he ninjas surrounded. When one of his throwing stars connects with Hyuga's shoulder, our heroine almost runs to his side. Rengoku spits out another flame, this time at our heroine but Yoshitsune protects her using his back as a shield. When Rengoku decides to worsen his attack on Yoshitsune, Hyuga intervenes to save them.

zing zing zing

A rain of fire arrows falls on the Rengoku shadows until only the real one remains on the ground with an arrow to his head. The fight is over. Yoshitsune's back is slightly burnt and concludes that Biwa Rengoku was a Heishi assassin sent to kill him. He orders his aides to split into groups to check if the guards and ladies are safe and that there are no more enemies. When he leaves the room Kazemasa gets all up on Hyuga and Enya about why the allowed Yoshitsune to be hurt. They're both silent and our heroine tells Kazemasa that it wasn't their fault, that, "the enemy ninja was so powerful" ( or depending on the choice you pick. You could have either picked that choice-"the enemy ninja was powerful..." or "It's my fault). Kazemasa is a  scrooge and calls her reason an excuse. But no else cares for what he has to say anymore as Enya advises our heroine to enter Yoshitsune's room and treat his back wound herself. So she does and Yoshitsune thanks her. He tells her not to mind the fact that he's burned because he chose to protect her and that he would regret it for the rest of his life if her beautiful skin were to be scarred. I'm sensing her likes her. He tells her of his wish to create a world where the weak could live safely and happily. He was placed at Kuramadera when he was a child and learned ninja art there.

Because of his upbringing at the temple, being exposed to all the bad and corrupt in the world, he's can sympathize with people. Our heroine tells him that she believes that he'll be able to create a safe and happy world and they smile at one another. But happy feelings have to come to an end and no one is better at doing that in this story than Kazemasa. Kazemasa was waiting for her just to tell her to leave the residence on her own because she's a hindrance to them all in fulfilling their  duty against the Heishi. Yoshitsune is only letting her stay because he's too nice. This one sided conversation ends and our heroine hangs out in the garden staring up into the sky, agreeing with Hanzo. But once again she remembers that because she hasn't recovered her own memory, she doesn't have a place to go to. Helpless and lonely, tears fall from her face. Hyuga calls out to her and she quickly wipes them away before she turned toward him. He knows she had been crying because her nose is beet red. She acts tough but in actuality she's a crybaby. Hyuga can sense anything as he's able to deduce that her tears are the result of Kazemasa telling her to leave

In an attempt to cheer her up, he tells her that she's a good cook. And then he adds that he's a better cook. He even brags that he can do any housework. He makes the excuse that he was heading out to the kitchen to make some tea and drags her along with him. Hyuga is a softie as he makes calming tea for her to help her sleep and denying the fact that it was meant for her. Despite his denial, she feels warm and happy for consideration. She asks him how his shoulder is doing and while she shows him her concern for his injury he looks at her in amazement, telling her to worry more about herself since her memories are lost. She agrees but tells him she's still worries for him. This prompts Hyuga to open up his clothes so she could dress his unattended wound to ease her worries about him.

He tells her not to get excited at his naked body while she applies the ointment but she does and blushes as she yells at him that she isn't. When our heroine voices that it's better if she leaves, Hyuga tells her not to complain and ignore Yoshitsune's kindness. When she repeats that she's just a nuisance, he pulls and screams into her ear to stay until her memory returns and so he can continue eating her cooking. She nods, happy that he stopped her from leaving to head of to nowhere. She thanks him and when he tells her that he hasn't done anything to be thanked for, she thanks him for the tea. Hyuga stares back, making fun of her by calling her easy. She looks like a princess of a noble family but she knows many commoner things. It's strange but he points out maybe that's why Yoshitsune fell for her. This is news to her. He calls her dense but she still can't believe it. She can't understand why the son of Genji would fall in love with her when nobody knows about her past and tells Hyuga that he's just mistaken. But Hyuga murmurs

Do I sense jealousy?

Choices I picked:
1.) The enemy ninja was powerful...
2.) It's better if I leave here...

(°ロ°)☝ Just so you know, I'm aiming for the lovey dovey ending.
