[Recap] Shall we Date? Love Tangle ~ Miguel Hernandez Main Story Chapter 5

NOTE:
MC (in my game) is named Lauren Dawson.
I decided to write recaps this way because it's faster for me to write.

CHAPTER 5

5.1
  • Miguel wins the coin toss
  • He eagerly asks Lauren on a date
  • Lauren agrees to the date, thinking it’ll be fun
  • A few days pass and Lauren buys new clothes to wear for the date
  • She goes down to the lounge to see Miguel (and Lucas) waiting for her
  • Lucas tugs at Lauren’s clothes, ripping off the tag
  • Miguel realizes Lauren bought new clothes for their date and she is embarrassed that she forgot to take out the tag

5.2
  • Lauren thanks Lucas for ripping off her tag as she leaves with Miguel
  • They decided to have a picnic at the beach
  • Lauren suggests that they eat the wraps she made with the help of Josh to make them so that they fit with Miguel’s special diet.
  • Miguel is happy that she made food for him. He thinks the wraps taste good
  • He jokes that she could be his trainer. This makes Lauren think how different ‘trainer’ is from ‘girlfriend’
  • Miguel uses his thumb to wipe off some sauce from Lauren’s lips. And then licks the sauce.

5.3
  • After eating they head over to Lauren’s workplace (Kaleido Zoo) to look at dolphins
  • Miguel tells Lauren that since he lived by the sea, he started swimming so he could meet dolphins
  • Lauren wonders if Miguel is an animal lover
  • While they’re looking at dolphins a woman with a baby calls out to Miguel to cheer him on. He thanks her and pets the baby’s head.
  • Lauren remembers that he’s a celebrity
  • More people start cheering Miguel on

5.4
  • (Choice #2) “Want to try swimming with the dolphins?”
    • Miguel turns down the suggestion, saying that he would rather swim with them in the sea where there is more room for them to swim and be free
    • (Miguel thinks it’s nothing choice.) D’:
  • A little boy on a wheelchair calls out to Miguel
  • Kid’s name is Alex
  • Miguel explains that Alex is one of his students from when he volunteers to teach swimming
  • Miguel and Alex love dolphins

5.5
  • Alex tells Miguel he broke a swimming record thanks to his advice
  • Alex looks at Miguel like he’s some hero
  • Alex asks Miguel if he’ll go back to swimming.
  • Noticing Miguel’s mood drop, Lauren interrupts the conversation to tell Alex that dolphins sleep too.
  • Both Alex and Miguel are interested in Lauren’s lecture about dolphins
  • Her explanation ends with telling Alex that good swimmers, like dolphins and Miguel, needs their rest.
  • Alex accepts her explanation.
  • Alex asks Lauren if she’s Miguel’s girlfriend.

5.6 [Normal]
  • Miguel replies to Alex’s question with, “If only…”
    • The fact that Miguel was the first person to see Lauren in her new clothes gave him a little hope
  • Alex tells Miguel to notify him if his crush (Lauren) turns into his girlfriend
  • Alex leaves
  • Lauren wonders if Miguel was being serious about the girlfriend thing
  • Miguel interrupts her thoughts and asks her to show her the leopards she’s in charge of
  • They decide not to see the leopards because the reservation where the leopards are is far and the park would close before they get to them
  • Miguel asks Lauren if he can see them next time
  • Lauren okays the idea because it’s another chance to go on a date with him

5.7
  • Miguel asks Lauren what she does at work
    • She deals with overseeing the Kaleido leopards’ mating
  • Miguel hugs her and encourages her to do well in her job
  • They find out that they’re both animal lovers as they talk about their families and love for animals
    • Miguel’s family would keep picking up stray cats and dogs
  • Miguel says something like, “I’ve got to do something too,” to himself and dodges Lauren’s question asking about what he said
  • They head back home
  • Miguel marvels at how the dolphins help their brethren and wonders if the dolphins helped him because they thought he was in need too. This causes Lauren to go ‘huh?’ again.

5.8
  • Miguel admits to her that he’s taking a break from sports because he can’t feel positive about racing anymore
    • Basically, because he feels pressured to beat the Kaleido record again, swimming isn’t fun anymore. And his swimming times get worse and worse as a result.
  • The next morning Lauren heads to the cafe counter to find Miguel and Joy reading a magazine with their heads together
  • Lauren’s chest tightens as she wonders about Miguel’s and Joy’s relationship
  • Cody tells Lauren to move since she’s in his way.
  • When Cody asks Lauren what’s wrong she just tells him that Miguel and Joy seem to get along.
  • Cody replies that the two seem to be on the same page
  • More chest pain from Lauren (from me D,:)

5.9
  • Lauren notices that although Miguel is nice to everyone, there seems to be a special relationship with him and Joy
  • Cody gives her his bag of cake before he leaves because he can’t stand to look at her tortured face
  • Before she can head back to her room, Joy greets her a good morning
  • Lauren wants to ask Joy about her relationship with Miguel but decides not to
  • Joy and Miguel ask Lauren if she wants to join them in attending a charity event.
    • Apparently Joy and Miguel are attending the event because it related to their job.
  • (Choice #1) “Sure, I’ll go.”
    • Lauren decides to go so she doesn’t want to lose her friendships because of jealousy
    • Miguel is happy she decided to go, saying that now he’ll work even harder
    • (Miguel thinks it was the best choice.)

5.10

  • Because Miguel and Joy are so happy that Lauren is going too, she feels ashamed for sneaking checks on them earlier
  • She suggests they all drink some coffee
  • Joy asks about the cakes in the bag Lauren got from Cody and has some
  • Miguel signals to Lauren to sit next to him on the sofa
  • Lauren’s like, ‘weren’t you speaking to Joy?’
  • But Joy’s all, ‘don’t worry about it. We finished our conversation.’
  • So, Lauren decides to sit next to Miguel. Taking a sip of her bitter coffee to wash away the seeds of jealousy
