File 6 Recap
Episode 6 starts off with Yukiko paying Kimura a visit while she's in the crime lab. After greeting each other they start talking about the case. Kimura found an interesting compound during his analysis but before Yukiko could ask him what it was, Eiki barges in. He came to find her because Tennoji wants her to watch 1st Unit interview a person of interest in the murder case (Tennoji doesn't trust 1st Unit). The person of interest is the Blast Promotions Chief of Public Relations and his secretary, Akihiro Osato. Eiki invites Kimura to go with them and so they go to the interrogation room.
The scene changes to the 1st Unit guys interviewing Osato about where he was the night before.
Yukiko, Eiki, Tennoji, and Kimura are watching from the outside. They notice that Osato is tense. Whether it's because he's hiding something or because he's just nervous, no one knows yet. Anywho, the interview keeps going. Osato explains that at 1 am he was at a bar with his secretary, Hiroko Miura.
Tokua gets fired up and slams his hand down at the table. Apparently the victim wrote in his diary that he saw Osato and Hiroko leave a hotel together, so can't just have a boss and secretary relationship.
Tennoji thinks 1st Unit aren't asking the right questions. It doesn't seem like they're concerned with finding out Osato's alibi. They've come to the conclusion that Osato killed the victim because his relationship was exposed and could cause trouble. But Osato is like , No! There's was no reason for the victim to try and threaten him for money in the first place because Hiroko isn't his mistress. Yeah they're dating but that's because his wife died three years ago from cancer. He's a widower. He was such a mess after his wife's death and Hiroko saved him. A year and a half after his wife's passing, they started dating. Meaning, Osato isn't an adulterer.
Scene change to Yukiko and Tennoji in the editing department of Monday magazine. They had checked Osato's story and he was telling the truth. His wife really did die and yadda yadda yadda. Anywho, they're at Monday magazine trying to make connections because apparently Osato had made many complaints to the magazine's Celeb Secrets articles, the column that the first victim wrote on. Some employee hands them the three articles that Osato complained about. The first two are lame but the third one catches Yukiko's attention. The article is titled, "The Kidnapping and Murder of Fuka Sayama. Why did Ryohei Nikaido abandon her before her death?" The article talks about Fuka on a date with Ryohei while her boyfriend didn't know on the day of her murder and how she got kidnapped in the middle of the date but Ryohei didn't save her.
Yukiko clutches the article into a tight fist as she wonders how someone could be so insensitive to other people's feelings and worries whether or not Kimura has read the article.
Scene change!
Yukiko stands in the hallway outside the crime lab. She feels guilty for finding more about Kimura's past against his wishes and her thoughts circle on whether to admit to him that she found out about his scandal or to just say nothing. While she's battling with her thoughts Kimura calls her name from behind and asks her what she's doing.
She's not there to ask him about the case so they both head towards the vending machines.
At the vending machines Yukiko decides to be honest with him because she doesn't want to betray his trust. So she tells him. She tells him that she was with Tennoji for the case and how they came across the article and what the article said.
She tells him that she doesn't believe what's written in the article. She doesn't believe that the Kimura in front of her would ever do such at thing.
When she tells him that she doesn't want him to be hurt he looks surprised. He expected her to apologize and beg him not to be mad. Kimura tells Yukiko that she's a good person for worrying about him and thanks her. His words are so unexpected that she starts crying.

Lookie! He's smiling without glasses :D !!! |
He reaches out for her cheek. He should be mad at her but instead he's worried. And that's when Yukiko realizes....
