[Recap] Love Academy Yaoi Story ~ Chapter 7

Chapter 7 begins the day before the official performance of the play, "Run, Melos!". Jun gives us a little spoiler. Melos and Selinuntius are meant to hug each other upon their reunion. This causes Jun to blush at the thought of hugging Dr. Kanzaki. He has to discuss the scene with Dr. Kanzaki but he's noticed that Dr. Kanzaki has been avoiding him since the day he back-hugged him.

He finds Dr.Kanzaki in his office (of course), and asks to practice the scene with him. Dr. Kanzaki is cold at first, asking Jun why can't he practice with other people. But with enthusiasm, Jun stresses how important the last scene is and Dr. Kanzaki can't help agree to help him. Jun shows him the scene they are meant to practice.

Dr. Kanzaki isn't too enthused but he complies as he stands up to get ready to practice the scene where Melos and Selinuntius hug. When it comes to the part where they do hug, Jun can hear Dr. Kanzaki's heart beating as fast as his. Jun tries to calm himself by grabbing Dr. Kanzaki's collar (ಠ_ಠ) finally coming to the understanding that he---

Dr. Kanzaki interrupts this epiphany Jun's having when he suddenly ends the practice with the excuse that he still has work to do. Jun unwillingly leaves the room, feeling sad that Dr. Kanzaki may hate him so much.

The disciple stops Melos from getting closer to where Selinuntius is being held. He doesn't want his mentorto be killed Selinuntius' place but Melos tells him that life and death can't stop him from running to something so important to him. The disciple understands he can't stop Melos. He confesses he lied about Selinuntius already being dead and encourges Melos to run to him quickly before he is dead.

And with that, Melos runs to the execution ground with nothing but his dear friend, Selinuntius on his mind. He makes it just in time as Selinuntius' body is being raised for execution. Melos cries out that they can't execute Selinuntius now that Melos is back, just like their promise.

But no one hears his broken voice. He pushes to the crowd and makes to the stage. He tells the executioner that he is the one to be killed as Selinuntius was just a hostage until his return. The Tyrant and the audience finally notice Melos and the crowd congratulates Melos on his return.

The Tyrant is shocked but orders that Selenuntius be untied immediately. The Tyrant wonders out loud that maybe he had been wrong this whole time. That maybe there is something more important than life itself. He has been proven wrong and order that neither Selinuntius or Melos be killed. With that, the Tyrant became a wise king.

Hey...I thought they untied you...

Melos and Selinuntius is oblivious to the cheering crowd as Melos stands before Selinuntius to hit him accross the face for having a nightmare on his trip back. He can't hug Selinuntius like before unless he hits him (ಠ_ಠ). But Selinuntius just stares back at him, requesting that Melos slap his face loudly for doubting him as he was kept hostage. If Melos doesn't hit him, he can't hug him like he used to as well. With only each other in their mind and field of vision, the walk to each other.

Jun clenches his fist. After the play he won't be able to see Dr. Kanzaki. He tells himself he likes Dr. Kanzaki. Even though they're both males, even though they are student and teacher, Jun wants to confess his feelings properly. He approaches him when everyone is starting to pack up.

He asks Dr. Kanzaki to meet him on the rooftop at sunset because he has something to tell him. Dr. Kanzaki is all, "!!!" but tells him that sure, he'll be there.~~~~> It's finally the time where they agreed to meet each other on the rooftop and Dr. Kanzaki finds Jun waiting for him. With a beating heart Jun tells him he likes him.

Jun explains that when he's with him he feels both sad and happy. He had been wondering what that meant but has finally come to the conclusion that he likes Dr. Kanzaki. Dr. Kanzaki in response turns, holding his head as if it were in pain. Dr. Kanzaki explains the feelings that Jun has been having is because Jun admires him, not because of love. And beside, they're both male.

But Jun doesn't buy Dr. Kanzaki's explanation. He knows that he likes his male teacher and asks him to meet him again the next day after their performance of the play to hear his answer to the confession. And with that Jun quickly leaves leaving Dr. Kanzaki alone on the rooftop.

"Tell him that I like him as well." for good end.
