[Recap] Love Academy Yaoi Story ~ Chapter 8 (True Ending)

 It's finally the day for the official play performance.  And the scene where Selinuntius and Melos' reunion is just about to begin. (This is the actual performance in front of an audience. It's not rehearsal this time). 

They finally slap each other in the face. It's time for the hug scene now and Jun wears an expression of sadness at the thought that this could be the last chance he can hug Dr. Kanzaki. He closes his eyes as he reaches to touch Dr. Kanzaki. He hears Melos say, "Thank you, my friend---" and then ....

Dr. Kanzaki is kissing him! This wasn't in the script. Jun is shock and so is the audience. But Jun feels Dr. Kanzaki's hot lips and is like, "Whatever," and hugs him, yearning for more of him. 

The performance is over and Jun is waiting on the rooftop for Dr. Kanzaki.

(These are the same lines from the first chapter.)

He finally hears footsteps behind him. He raises his head to find Dr. Kanzaki. Dr. Kanzaki admits that he figured Jun would have given up and left after waiting for so long. Dr. Kanzaki compliments him. Calls him charming but then tells him he can't return his feelings.

When he asks Dr. Kanzaki why won't he accept his feelings, Dr. Kanzaki answers the whole, it's me- not you, thing. Dr. Kanzaki explains that he has been hiding from his problems, that the one person he absolutely can't believe in is himself, making him undeserving of Jun. 

Jun recognizes that Dr. Kanzaki isn't saying that he doesn't have feelings for him. With that, he knows for certain that Dr. Kanzaki doesn't hate him. So, he asks about the unscripted kiss during the performance. But he doesn't even allow Dr. Kanzaki to explain because he immediately blurts out that he was really happy to receive the kiss. He was able to feel Dr. Kanzaki's emotions through the kiss. He admits he found it adorable and tells Dr. Kanzaki that's why he likes him. He asks Dr. Kanzaki if he isn't allowed to love him.

Jun is surprised as he is dragged into Dr. Kanzaki's arms. Dr. Kanzaki gives in, telling himself that it's probably time to forgive himself since Jun can accept who he is.

They embrace each other under the starry night sky.
