6.1

• Lauren is at work deciding with Timo on how to promote the breeding of Kaleido leopards
• Blah blah blah renovation blah blah blah more work stuff

6.2

• It’s now the morning of Miguel and Joy’s charity event
• The event is a meeting between kids trying to get into the Paralympics and some athletes
• Joy’s job is to style the sponsor’s wife
• Miguel is the main event. He’ll be swimming in front of a crowd

6.3

• Lauren asks Joy her dress is okay
• Joy gives Lauren the okay and a necklace to go along with her dress
• Joy has to leave so they plan to meet at the party
• Lauren thinks that someone as thoughtful and beautiful as Joy is better suited for Miguel
• She starts to think she needs to stop jumping to conclusions and feeling guilty

6.4

• Lauren makes it to the party venue
• She feels out of place because everything looks so fancy
• She spots Joy and happily runs over to her
• Sadly, Joy can’t stick around for long because she still has work to do
• She decides to head to the buffet when she notices Alex in the crowd
• She compares herself to Alex. Alex is confident and comfortable in the party while she’s quivering.
• She wants to see Miguel
• She bumps into Miguel

6.5

• Lauren stares at Miguel’s face in surprise
• Choice
• “I was looking for you.”
• (Miguel thinks it was the best choice.)
• “Where’s Joy?”
• Miguel asks her if there’s something on his face because she has been staring at him
• She replies that he looks a little too good dressed up
• Miguel returns the compliment
• Too embarrassed to meet his eyes, Lauren lowers hers, only to have Miguel laugh and hold her hand.
• He kisses the back of her hand
• He tells her he’s glad she came and that she looks beautiful
• He also tells her that because he knew she would be coming, he was serious about his outfit
• this causes Miguel to blush
• Lauren tries hard not to read too much into his words and actions

6.6

• Miguel whispers to Lauren that he thinks her hair up is sexy
• Lauren thanks Miguel for inviting her
• Miguel’s rival steps in between them, calling Miguel a former star
• Rival athlete insults Miguel but it’s not bothering him
• Rival athlete leaves without shaking Miguel’s hand
• Lauren is angry but Miguel tells her that’s just how his rival psyches himself up
• Miguel leaves to get ready for the main event

6.7

• Lauren sits down with the audience to watch the main event - a freestyle race among the top swimming athletes
• Before the start of the race Alex hands Miguel a bouquet of flowers
• The host blows the whistle for the race to start but Miguel doesn't move
• The media and audience either encourage him or are raging at him
• Lauren is in pain knowing that she can only watch. She realizes that something is seriously wrong with Miguel

6.8

• Miguel’s coach finally runs up to the still Miguel, helps him get off the board, and away from the public
• Alex is upset, crying, “Why?!” as Miguel leaves
• Lauren listens as members in the audience trade rumors that Miguel took a break from swimming because of a mental issue
• She turns around to scold the gossiping audience members, claiming they don’t know anything about Miguel
• Angry, she leaves to find Miguel
• When she finally finds him she sees that he is whispering together with Joy
• She notices how close in proximity they are to each other (Joy’s hand is on his shoulder)
• She figures that Miguel wants Joy, not her
• She would only be butting in if she showed herself

6.9

• Lauren starts to cry when she finally realizes she’s deeply in love with Miguel
• She leaves the scene to go home
• At home she finds Nolan watching a newscaster on TV discussing Miguel’s failure at the charity event
• She realizes that Miguel made it home as well when Nolan asks Miguel (standing behind her) what really happened at the event
• Noticing that Miguel is alone, she wonders where is Joy

6.10

• Miguel laughs off Nolan's question, calling it a total failure and apologize to Lauren for not showing her his best
• Nolan, agreeing with an athlete interviewed on TV, asks Miguel how can he call himself a swimmer if he can't swim.
• Miguel is about to fight Nolan but Lauren steps in.

6.11

• Lauren asks why Nolan did that
• Nolan tells her to give up on Miguel if its hurting her so much.
• He says if she's still into him it'll be difficult for her but she should go to Miguel and listen to him
• She's doesn't get why she should need to go and Nolan calls her dense
• She follows what Nolan told her and finds Miguel alone by the pool
• Choice
• "Let's go inside. You'll catch a cold out here."
• "You can always talk to me." (Miguel thinks it was the best choice)
• Miguel agrees to talk with her

6.12

• He apologizes for getting mad in front of her
• He explains that Nolan was just trying to expression his real feelings
• He embraces Lauren tightly and asks if they could stay that way for awhile
• He starts to explain how he felt at the diving board
• it was the first time he'd been afraid of water
• She hugs him back

6.13

• This time he apologizes for his whining and lets her go
• He thanks her for listening to him
• It hurts her to see him force a smile so she takes his hand and tells him to let it out
• He tells her he isn't giving up swimming and he'll be fine by himself
• they go back to the lounge
