- She decides to wake up early and invite Miguel out for a jog
- She's about to knock on his door but before she can Luca tackles her down
- Curious about the ruckus, Miguel opens his door

- After Miguel finishes changing they head out to jog
- While they're jogging Lauren asks he's been since they haven't been bumping into each other lately
- Miguel is distancing himself from swimming
- He even stopped volunteering to teach swimming

- Lauren looks so worried that Miguel touches her cheek and tells her he's just taking a rest
- She tells him that when he starts swimming again doesn't matter if he really wants to swim again
- He thanks her for her words
- They race back to the apartment
- Miguel comments it's more fun running together
- Before they can make their way inside the apartment, Alex calls out to Miguel behind them

- Alex asks Miguel why he won't come to swimming school.
- He tells them that he heard the media and school have been talking about Miguel retiring
- Choice!
- "You can't just believe rumors like that."
- "There's no way he'd give up, right?" (Miguel thinks it was nothing choice)
- Miguel thanks Alex for worrying about him
- When Miguel tries to pat Alex's shoulder, Alex slaps his hand away, saying he's not the coach he used to look up to
- Miguel looks like he wants to cry

- A few days have passed since Lauren last saw Joy and Miguel
- She wants to help Miguel but she figures that he doesn't need her, he needs Joy
- She states that seeing them anymore would be painful
- She's working at the zoo
- Since she doesn't have other girlfriends to chat with, she talks to a leopard about her dilemma about liking a boy (Miguel) with a (possible) girlfriend (Joy)

- Lauren looks for her keys in front of her apartment door
- Lucas runs up to Lauren, signaling that he wants her to follow him
- She follows Lucas to the courtyard pool
- Miguel is at the pool wearing swimming trunks
- Lucas pokes her to M's direction and leaves
- Miguel smacks the surface of the water, angrily asking himself why can't he swim

- Lauren calls out to Miguel and runs over to him
- Seeing her Miguel smiles
- He laughs off his earlier frustration, joking he's unsuccessfully trying a new form
- She tells him he needs to stop pretending and smiling because even though she knows he doesn't want to make people worry, she feels hurt because it's like he's building a wall between them
- He gets out of the pool and reaches out to hold her cheek
- In her mind she begs Miguel to stop touching her when he has Joy
- She avoids his hand
- He retracts his hand and apologizes for making it seem like he's building a wall between them.
- he tells her he especially doesn't want Lauren to feel that way
- Lauren ends up blurting out that Miguel tells Joy how he really feels

- Nolan calls out to them, breaking the awkwardness
- He invites the two of them to play poker in his room

- The three of them are in Nolan's room
- Choice!
- "What are we betting this time?"
- "That chocolate sure was good." (Miguel thinks it was nothing choice)
- Lauren let's it slip that Miguel shared his chocolate winnings with her the last time they played poker
- Nolan says he wants a rematch so they have to bet on something
- Miguel agrees to anything, saying he'll win anyway
- Nolan decides to bet Miguel's future as an athlete
- if Nolan wins, Miguel stops swimming

- Miguel agrees despite Lauren trying to stop him
- It's Miguel versus Nolan with Lauren as the referee
- Lauren starts to wonder if this is another one of Nolan's tricks to cheer Miguel up

- Miguel wins
- Lauren challenges Miguel this time
- If she wins Miguel has to love swimming again
- Miguel accepts

- Lauren wins
- She happily cheers
- She's so happy that looking at Miguel would make her cry so she quickly heads back to her room
- Nolan comments that he doesn't know if Miguel or Lauren is the lucky one
- Lauren being lucky because she beat the unbeatable Miguel at poker
- Miguel being lucky that Lauren won or that he has Lauren that cares about him
